A few hot tips from David Amor (a farmer / marina owner) and Isaac (who probably knows a bit more about it!)
David Amor and his son Isaac took to the water at the weekend for the first time, he has come up with a few useful tips:
It's good to get your boat surveyed before investing to ensure it doesn't leak,
Check all bungs are fitted properly before setting out.
Check the engine is in good working order and full of fuel
If you have to revert to using oars make sure the boat has rowlocks fitted to the gunwales
All in all everyone had a good time, David and Isaac managed to see what it was like over 100 metres down the canal.
